Over the years celebrities have no doubt become used to having their look copied. From Kim Kardashian’s derriere to Angelina Jolie’s lips, plastic surgeons have become accustomed to various requests for copycat surgery. The latest trend to emerge is for requests to copy Kate Middleton’s cute nose. In fact, the Huffington Post reports that, in 2012, it was the most requested procedure on the other side of the Atlantic, in Britain. However, there are some possible downsides to requesting surgery based on someone else’s unique look.
Top surgeons agree that it’s the way in which faces have little intricacies and imperfections that make them attractive. Those are the features that make them individual, and it’s those features that make the whole face work together. So, if you try and plonk someone’s nose on your face and it’s the wrong shape, size, or doesn’t have the same features, then it will just look wrong.
That’s where the skill of a surgeon like Dr. Naderi comes in. As a specialist in rhinoplasty (nose jobs), he can pinpoint which features of the nose will work, and which might require other features (lips, eyes, brow, etc.) to be tweaked so that the whole face works together. He can also recommend a look that, while not Kate Middleton’s, will work best for your individual features.
As Fox 10 News noted, “not every face is made for Kate Middleton’s nose” which often leads to other procedures to bring the whole effect together. The end effect may be something of a compromise between how much surgery the patient is willing to have done, how much is needed to achieve the desired effect, and the financial implications of multiple procedures. At the end of the day, the partnership between surgeon and client is invaluable in making sure that both parties are comfortable and that the best result can be achieved.
