hello, I was dr gunters patient that lost the end of my nose. I want to thank you for telling me to go to burget. my nose is getting closer to normalcy. i did not know where to turn and you told me go to burget. i truly thank you. by the way….i wound up on the dr phil show from gunter. it also happened to a gorl…yup she lost her columell a to necrosis too. think hes judgment is bad now tooooo much rib.
I am very happy to hear your nose is looking better and your life is getting back to normal.
What happened to you was a horrible tragedy and one of the most dreaded complications of Rhinoplasty or Revision Rhinoplasty. I am glad you ended up going to Dr. Burget as he and Dr. Menick and Dr. Baker are the best in the world for such reconstructions.
Your case is a clear example of what can happen with elective surgery even in extremely experienced hands. Dr. Gunter is one of the most famous Rhinoplasty Surgeons in the world and has been a great educator and contributor to the field of Rhinoplasty for 30 years or more. I am sure he has performed 5000-10,000 Rhinoplasties in his lifetime. But what you had to go through was devastating and a life changing experience for you and a lesson of caution to other patients as well.
I am glad you are doing better and thank you for the update. I am glad I was able to help.
